1. Responsible party and data protection officer.

2. Data collection during your visit to this website.
When using the website for purely informational purposes, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called log files). This includes:

- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- HTTP status code
- Amount of data transmitted
- Website from which the request originates

This data is technically necessary to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security.

Web analytics with Matomo.
To analyze and statistically evaluate the use of our website, we use the open-source software Matomo. The processing is carried out exclusively on the university's own servers.
- No cookies are used.
- The IP address is anonymized before storage (IP masking).
- The data is processed exclusively in pseudonymized form.
- No data is passed on to third parties.
The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your data for analysis purposes.
3. Using the helpdesk (FreeScout)
When you contact us (e.g., via email), the data you provide (name, email address, inquiry) will be processed to handle your request.
We use the FreeScout help desk system, which is hosted on servers at the University of Erfurt (self-hosting), to process your request.
The processing is based on:
- Art. 6 para. 1, sentence 1, lit. b GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures or fulfillment of the contract)
- Art. 6 para. 1, sentence 1, lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient communication)
The data will usually be deleted 6 months after the request is completed, unless legal retention obligations apply.
4. Registration and payment processing (Pretix)
Registration for the TYPO3 University Days 2026 is done via a university-internal registration system based on the Pretix software. The system is operated on servers at the University of Erfurt. During registration, personal data will be processed, in particular:
- Name
- Contact details
- Possibly, billing data
- Participation information
The processing is done for the following purposes:
- Organization and execution of the event
- Billing and processing in accordance with budgetary law
The legal basis is:
- Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. b GDPR (fulfillment of the contract / participation agreement)
- Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. c GDPR (legal obligations, in particular budgetary and tax law)
Personal data will only be transmitted to participating universities within the Thuringian Alliance (HS-ITZ) to the extent that this is necessary for the execution of the event. These act as independent controllers depending on the processing situation. No data will be passed on to third parties outside this circle.
5. Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies, in particular for session management in TYPO3. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. You can disable the storage of cookies in the settings of your browser. In this case, the functionality of the website may be limited.
